3-5 month regression? Help!

My DS is nearly 15 weeks. Until a few weeks ago he would need feeds at midnight, 3am, 6am, and 9am and would have various naps during the day, which was manageable. But for the past 3 weeks or so he's waking up every 1-2 hours at night. Usually he has a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon but recently he only seems able to nap for 45 minutes at a time and is getting overtired.

We co-sleep, I often put him in his sling during the day, he's exclusively bf, he's been trying to sit up and roll over for a couple of weeks or so with varying degrees of success. I'm getting so tired now I'm finding it harder and harder to settle him and function. He's also started screaming when he wakes up sometimes and it doesn't seem like he's particularly hungry/got wind etc.

Is this the 3-5 month sleep regression? If so, what can I do to help and how long will it last? If not, what could be causing this change in habits? I need to have some sleep soon!

Sounds like the 4 month regression. You just have to ride it out.

Oh Suzie we are the same. He will be 17weeks tomorrow.
He use to sleep from 10pm - 3am sometimes 4am then feed for 10mins and back asleep till around 6.30/7.30.
But the last 3 weeks I would say he goes down at 7pm wakes between 12/1am then wakes every 1.5hrs/2hrs after that. I try and rub his head, pat him, shh him but nothing that use to work to get him back asleep works now he just wants boob and will cry until he gets it.

During the day he will only nap between 40mins to 1.5hrs on a good day.
It's so hard.

I have to bf mine to sleep too, especially as he tries to feed through my clothes if I don't! There are some really odd things like usually if you try to move him when he's asleep he'll just wake up but now sometimes he's in such a deep sleep he won't notice and he's very tetchy, play a game slightly too long with him and he starts screaming Sad.

Hope yours gets better soon too Hells Flowers

It would be a good idea to make daytime naps closer together in order to avoid over tiredness.

It would not be unusual horse baby you have 5, 6, 7 naps per day at this age, with about an hour awake between naps.
