Mine would be when I was in pain with my arms and couldn't sleep as a result so was extremely tired the next day.

Baby was 4 weeks old. We had to do top up feeds, and he was sleeping for around 20 min a time, with reflux, vomit and almost constant pooping, so we got sent to hospital with possible dehydration. My c section scar was infected so i was in agony. Took the baby downstairs and the cat was playing with something at the bottom of the stairs. A mouse then ran over my foot and left a trail of blood. That was a really shit night.

It was that terrible night when she had infant dyschezia. She was straining and groaning literally all night and no amount of leg cycling helped. She did a massive green poo in the morning which seemed to make her feel better.

Rotator cuff injury = no sleep at all.
Camping = about 3 hours very fitful before giving up.

When on a school trip to Italy in the 90s. This bus was full of teenagers and a few teachers we had driven all the way from the North East to the border of Italy we were in the middle of nowhere the bus broke down. The part had to be delivered from somewhere very far away. We slept on the bus which was parked in a layby with no food, the toilet was blocked and overflowing. I ended up curled in the footwell whilst others slept in the aisle or tried to get comfy in the very uncomfortable seats. Honestly the worst nights sleep of my life.

Too many to type (severe refluxer until 5 years old) but one particularly bad one was when DS2 was 10 months old and ill. I'd been up almost all night for several nights with him (coming after 3.5 years of very little sleep with DS1). Then we were sent to A&E by the dr late afternoon.

They didn't decide to keep him in overnight until nearly midnight.

Then DS2 refused to sleep unless in my arms being rocked (his IV was upsetting him).

At 3am I rang the nurse in tears and said I was leaving with him cos I physically couldn't do it. She took over holding him and I cried in the cotbed then slept for all of one hour before needing to get up for DS2 again.

Other highlights include getting up 22 times in the night for 2.7 year old Ds and newborn DS.
