Self soothing for dummy refusers

My now 12mo suddenly started to refuse her dummy at 10mo. She settles quite well in her cot at night with me shushing her to sleep but still wakes several times in the night and often struggles to go back to sleep.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could give her to try to soothe herself? I've tried comforters but they just lie in her cot without her bothering with them.

Co sleeping?

My lo goes over in her cot and when she wakes I bring her in for cuddles

Co-sleeping isn't for me. I did it for 10 months (fell into it as she is a terrible sleeper) but it really isn't for me.

Do you use the comforter in situations when she is comforted? Like cuddles and during a milk feed. It helps if you work at the bonding association.

Hi fate. Yes I spent a few weeks holding the comforter whilst breastfeeding her and have also slept with it so it smells of me, but to no avail!
