Night terrors???

Hello, my ds1 is 2.9years old and sleeps in his own bed (which he loves). We have times where he can be up 5-6 a night crying and crying and when we go in to him he just cries so loudly. He isnt thrashing about and is aware who we are, could these be night terrors?
Also another quick question. Ds2 is 9months old and goes to bed at 7pm beautifully but then wakes between 9/10pm and wont settle unless he sleeps in with me or his dad, which means one of us in the spare room! Is this a phase? Im shattered as we just get baby off to sleep and then ds1 wakes us 5 or 6 times. Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thank you (Ive a sty in my eye the size of a small volcano)

ooh that sounds uncomfortable!

he may jsu have a had a bad dream as usually children who hjave had night terrors aren't really aware you are there and may try and get away from you. luckily, dd has only had two episodes and these were when me and dp under a lot of strain emotionally. i hope someone comes along soon with more concret advice for you

Thanks. Well we've had a few better nights which is good. We've also decided to move ds2 into the spare room as he is waking at 9pm and will only settle in our bed so I think we are going to have to try and stop this.Any tips?
