Night terrors in 7mo?

The last two nights my 7mo dd has started screaming out about an hour after she's gone to bed. I wasn't there the first night but dh just said she'd woken up crying, he'd waited for a minute outside the door and she'd gone back to sleep so he didn't go in.

However, last night I heard her not just crying but properly screaming out. I went in but she seemed to be unaware of me. Her eyes were half open half shut and she seemed to be asleep. I stroked her hair and kissed her and she didn't wake up. Does this sound like a night terror? Her screaming didn't last long. And if that's what it is, isn't it a bit early? I thought they didn't happen until los were older.

Should I wake her and cuddle her if this happens again or should I just stay with her?

She's very very young to have a night terror. Could she have caught her arm in the cot or something - or maybe she was trying to roll onto her front and failing? What I'm thinking is that something may have caused her some pain which makes her cry out.

I would do whatever it takes to pacify her ASAP but keep an eye on it in case it becomes a habit that is hard to break and she unlearns how to settle herself IYSWIM.

Hope it all sorts itself out soon.
