Is anyone else's LO a light sleeper!

I have recently put my DD in her own room after co-sleeping since 2mo. At first I loved sharing a bed but she is such a light sleeper I couldn't move all night, even to sip my water! Anyway, we started her in a cot in her own room and she has been great. Only then did I realise her room is above the sitting room and every floor board creaks upstairs. In my DM's words she could 'hear a mouse fart' I have a white noise machine turned on as loud as I think is acceptable and I try and levitate up the stairs when I go to bed but still loads of noises wake her up. I have my evenings back but my DH and I are sitting in silence straining to hear the tv and no one is allowed to flush the toilet! Anyone else have a light sleeper? Any tips? TIA

I’d turn the white nose louder GrinBlushI have it on loud enough that I can’t hear floor boards/cars starting up etc. In the middle of the night I turn it down slightly (cosleeping) but going to sleep and morning time is louder and it definitely helps.

I had this with my first - flipping nightmare lol!

DH and I used to have a long hushed chat/disagreement about flushing the loo! Haha!

My friend used to say that as soon as her DD went to bed she got out the vacume and cleaned her house etc. That was the opposite of us and we used to creep around with out TV on almost silent lol. I wonder if our DD would have just woken up anyway but who knows.

She grew out of it xx

Definitely sounds like the white noise could be louder - in our room when it’s on you can’t hear anything at all outside of the room (and yes, mine is a very light sleeper too!)

I will try turning it up tonight and see how we go, thanks Smile
