Hello we bought one of these because 3 week old baby was not sleeping so well in the crib.

We have had our baby at pillow level in the sleepyhead pod between us in bed and she has been sleeping well (waking sometimes, obviously, but easier to manage).

However our health visitor has told us this is too dangerous. I had thought these pods were partly designed for that use.

Can anyone please shed any light on this please?

Thank you....

You're correct - it can be safe to co-sleep with a Sleepyhead provided you follow the instructions attached. It's probably not as safe as baby in their own crib or cot but share this with your health visitor. You don't need to stop doing it because she says!

It’s not approved for sleeping by the lullaby trust because they advocate the safest place for baby is in their own empty crib, flat on their back. But, we all know that’s not the reality for a lot of babies.

My HV knows we use it and has never said anything. We’ve used since birth in cot and our bed when needed. Never any issues and I’ve never worried about my wee guy in there.

You really must do what works for you as a family. Health visitors also say cosleeping js dangerous but millions of people do it. If you feel safe, carry on! My 10 month old loved her sleepyhead x
