9 month old still not sleeping

My son is 9 months & has never been a good sleeper & it’s getting to the point where I can’t cope...wondering if anyone has any ideas. He’s got reflux but it’s mostly under control. He normally goes to bed at 7 (feeds to sleep. I try to get him to finish the bottle & then put him down drowsy but usually he falls asleep while still feeding). He usually then sleeps till about 10pm (though not always). After that he’s up every 90 minutes/2 hours & often ravenous. Then he often wakes for the day at 5.30 or 6! During the day he fights every nap. I’ve been trying 2,3,4 but he usually needs 3 naps because he rarely sleeps longer than 45 minutes. He’s super active (cruising, crawling) & just started saying dada & pretty happy. It’s hard to work out if he’s having development spurts as he was early & low birth weight so doesn’t seem to fit the patterns. He still doesn’t eat masses of solids but even on a good day when he eats loads, the sleep is no better. I’m making sure he does lots of racing about & gets lots of fresh air every day, & I give him a longish wind down after his bath to help him get to sleep. We tried co sleeping but it was no better so he’s in a cot in his own room. He’s not hard to get back to sleep when he wakes, & not super distressed, just up ALL the time. Hoping someone has some ideas...thank you in advance!

Totally normal. Google 8 month development leap/growth spurt/separation anxiety.

I am going through exactly the same. It’s really rough so I feel for you. It is totally normal and I am waiting for the day it passes!! Flowers

Thanks. I will do that but he’s never slept well...so I’m not sure it’s all about a development spurt.

No my daughter hasn’t either, we’ve never had more than 4 hours and that’s on a very rare good day! It’s just always much worse during leaps. I feel for you!

Feel for you too!
