At what age do you put a pillow in your babies cot/cotbed

Very flat pillow when they were about two I think

They're ok from age 1

Up until a few years ago the advice used to be no pillow before 1 year old. However if you look at the current SIDS advice:

www.lullabytrust.org.uk/safer-sleep-advice/clear-cot/

"... recommend babies are slept in cots that are kept as clear as possible and specifically advise no pillows or duvets"

There is no "....until" age given on this. Just a recommendation not to use pillows in the cot. Period, at all.

Cot I wouldn't. Too much of a suffocation risk. If my daughter rolls about in her bed she will push the pillow out of bed. In a cot she could get wedged under it.

Stick the pillow underneath the sheet no chance of your child having any issues regarding suffocation this way

I didn’t bother until they moved into a proper bed.

From another page on the lullabye trust website:

The key things are to make surethe mattress is firm, flat and waterproofand thecot is kept freeof bumpers, toys and loose bedding.Pillows and duvets should not be usedfor babies under 12 months.
