This is dc 3, others are 3.5 and 22 months. Dc3 is just like dc1 and I'd forgotten how hard it is as dc2 was so much more chilled out! Dc3 now 3 weeks has to be either feeding /in sling asleep (or at night asleep right against me) or he screams and is v unhappy.
I know this is all normal newborn behaviour and it is lovely cuddling him but it's really hard to have even 5 mins to give other dc a proper cuddle etc. Sling obviously a life saver and it's going to be for a short period of time I know but just kind of looking for some reassurance it is just a phase and things will change.
I wouldn't choose to Co sleep but accept it's the best way to maximise sleep atm. I just find it q uncomfortable and he wakes up if I need a wee/get up with other dc in the morning. He's also not great at latching on lying down but guess he'll get better.
I'm persevering with dummy but although he'll accept it in sling in doesn't seem to settle him at night.
Sorry for ramble just need some wise words to keep me going!
