Choking in sleep

My dd is 3, she suffers with chest problems and since her last bad episode we haven’t got her back in her own bed. She is sleeping in my bed this means I am having to go to bed with her at 8pm. I have noticed for a while that dd chokes a lot in the night/appears to chew things when asleep more so when on her back. She has a dummy but not always in when this happens. She can be sleeping peacefully then will start choking/coughing -is this normal? My dd has very large tonsils and had a sleep study last year for sleep apnea which showed nothing, just wondering if any other toddlers do this or if it’s something I should get checked.
Many thanks

Could she have reflux? I know she's 3- but I developed it when I was in my 30s
