My 4 week old DS hates being on his back. I see alot of people let them sleep on their side and my hv said its OK if he wont sleep any other way. She said put a blanket behind him but i tried this last night in his sleepyhead and he complained until i removed it. Any tips?

I did this but in the sleepyhead - no way she could roll in it and she had her underarm up towards her face. Felt the best option for us and we weighed up the risks. My HV also knew this and said it was fine.

For what it’s worth it felt safer her being in the sleepyhead on her side than out of it.

Thanks. Did u use blankets as props? Or just left them to it? I let ds fall asleep like that but got paranoid!

I’d put a blanket over her and roll the blanket up under her arms to make it an even tighter fit - hope that makes sense! So her back was on one side of the sleepyhead and her front had the rolled up blanket and then sleepyhead.

Lol try. No.1 epic fail - awake within 5min of putting down. He's such a sensitive little thing. Gonna take some practice on my part!!
