Turn the wifi off or just take them away.

I use OurPact. You just turn them off remotely. Depending what you pay you can limit time, apps etc

Just take them away and then they can’t be on them.

What happens when you take them away? I think there just needs to be some clear boundaries. You can have screen time for x amount of time after homework/other activity then they’re away for the night. Tell them it will happen say from Monday and prepare them all weekend. Keep reminding them. Try to be as relaxed as possible with screen time at other times in the day/evening so battles hopefully won’t be a thing.

I don't understand how they can be on them at night if you've taken them away? Or do you mean you've taken them away because they ignore the rules of not being on them? My son (12) just leaves it and his other devices downstairs at bedtime except weekends and school holidays.
