Can Newborn sleep in bouncer in recline position. Can i sleep when hes sleeping?

Just wondering. He can sleep there in the day, it goes flat from what i can see. I wonder of its safe for me to sleep at the same time?? It has a 3 point harness. Sil said he may be able to wriggle up and over but i didnt think so??

You can, but it wouldn't be considered safe. The danger is baby leaning forward or sideways and, being strapped in, topple the whole chair over. Hense why baby should be attended, not unattended, for sleeping in the bouncer.

I used to use the bouncer for all daytime sleeps until around 6 months, unless I wanted a nap in which case baby would sleep in the sidecar cot with me, like bedtime.
