Waking a baby from a nap?

Hi

Just wondering if people wake babies from naps?

My DS is almost 6months and is going through a phase where he is having a long nap (2hrs) in the afternoon 2.30-4.30. His night time sleep is currently bad and he is really hard to get to settle for naps in the morning. When he goes off its for 15 mins at a time - he is normally better than this.

I just wondered if I should ride out the phase or if people would wake him up?

I'm taking a relaxed approach with this baby as I got stressed last time trying to manage every little phase :) plus I'm used to very little sleep. This morning he was up at 4.30 which is a bit too early even for me!

Thank you :)

If I could let them sleep I would but after the first they had to fit in with older siblings timetable so often just got humped around and slept in their car seats.

The morning nap is usually the easiest to get baby to sleep. I wonder if you are leaving baby too late for this nap and that's why it's a struggle to get him to sleep?

15 minutes mean baby isn't even getting into the deep sleep phase at all. I would try continuing your settling method for the first 20 mins of the nap.
