help 7 year old sleep

how do i keep my 7 year old in his own bed all night???

he goes to bed at 7:30 pm every night and wakes up at midnight every day, when he wakes he don't go back to sleep all he does is mess with things he shouldn't be messing with,
we have had to result in locking everything away and even putting a lock on stair gate,
it not fair on us and his younger brother or sister.
younger sister is 5yrs
younger brother is 10months

Oh dear. He (and you!) must be shattered. Are there any medical problems? Is he NT?

Have you tried a CD player with a cd of calming music that he could play quietly? Or an audio book, or even mediations for kids?

Sounds like he needs help and is seeking your assistance. Do you know if he has nightmares? Could his bedtime possibly be too early for his natural body clock?

I have tried a later bedtime and an early bedtime but still same, he has been doing this for years I have spoken dr and they referring him
