My DD is approaching her 11th month and has gone from being quite a good sleeper to waking twice a night. She goes to sleep around 6.30pm/7pm, wakes at 10pm (often just as I'm nodding off myself). Sometime she can be patted and shushed back to sleep, other times I give her a bottle. Then she's awake again at 2/3am and often for an hour if not more.

Previously she was sleeping through until 6am on most nights so I am surprised and also desperate because I go back to work next week. I am trying to do sleep training by not giving her milk at her second waking as I think she is waking out of habit, perhaps thinking she'll get milk, rather than hunger. The last two nights of this have resulted in some serious tantrums with her eventually falling asleep on me or in our bed.

She's on solids and is a good eater so I really don't think it's about her not getting enough to eat.

Is it just sleep regression? If anyone has endured a similar thing, any advice for how to get her back into good habits? I am terrified of having to cope with 4/5 hours sleep while being back at work.
