My son has been having very bad dreams recently. Not very frequently but maybe 4/5 times in the last month.

He has had bad dreams before but these seem different somehow. He wakes up screaming and crying and nothing we do calms him down until he's out of his bedroom. I honestly don't think it's a bedroom avoidance issue because he's normally a good sleeper and he knows he can come for a cuddle whenever he needs one. He seems genuinely terrified. But he won't speak and won't tell us what has frightened him, he just grunts and wails and cries.

I've tried speaking to him the next day and he says he doesn't remember.

Any advice?

How about leaving a lamp on overnight?
