I have an almost 3yo who has always been a reasonable sleeper and a 15 month old who, well just does not sleep well at all. He has never once slept through the night in 15 whole months. He wakes every two-three hours without fail. Every night. I am back at work full time and I am just about at breaking point. I'm not sure why I am posting as I don't know if there is any advice that can be given. He has a good routine, plenty stimulation in the day, he eats well. I think I just want to vent as I feel like I am slowly going insane with the sleep deprivation.

I just wanted you to know that I was once in your position and I completely feel your pain. I have no good advice I'm afraid, other than the knowledge that it won't go on forever. I can remember getting into bed with my ds in order to just get some sleep. I'm not sure if that's something you'd want to do.

Is your dc a person who would respond well
to incentives? Star chart and treats for every time they only call for you twice a night, then once a night and then when they don't call for you at all?

Sleep deprivation is a terrible thing, you have my sympathy Flowers

Sorry just realised that 15 months is a bit young for incentives. Truly I think I'd get in with him for my own sanity.

Are you rocking/feeding to sleep?

LapinR0se · 07/09/2017 20:58

Also what's his routine

QuiteLikely5 · 07/09/2017 20:58

What does he want when he wakes? A drink, tucking in?

Does he go straight back to sleep after?
