Sleeping clothes

So far my 8 week old littke girl has been sleeping in just a vest and has been swaddled. We're getting to the point where she can sleep without being swaddled so have put her to bed in a vest and baby gro. She seems ok but I'm wondering if this is warm enough?
And what to do as it gets colder. What are people putting there little ones to bed in - clothing and covers wise?

Honestly I find this varies by baby, my LO is a naturally hot bubba. She sleeps with just a vest and a blanket, she doesn't even like sleeping bags. At 8 weeks she was in a vest, a baby grow and a blanket but that was early February so was very cold. Trust your instincts, the best way to tell is to feel their neck to see how hot/cold she feels.

Sleeping bags/ grobags are excellent as they can't be kicked off and can't go over their heads. My dd is now in a vest and babygrow as it's much cooler here this evening. I will put her in a light (1 tog) grobag also but probably later on when she wakes Up. Also see this pic if you know the temp in the room

I would get a baby sleeping bag. There are clothing/temperature charts on the grobag website

Google “grobag temperature chart” and you see lots of charts like this. Mine always needed an extra layer as well.

24 is not that hot.

And I should add, the charts say a 0.5 or 1 tog gro bag plus a vest or bodysuit.

It's different for every baby. My ds only ever had blankets and the coverlet from crib then cot bedding sets.
I hate sleeping bags so won't use them.
