Budget single bed with bed guard

I'm buying a bed for my toddler DS2.5 and was hoping to go straight to single bed. For budget reasons. Any suggestions of cheap bed frames with a removeable bar?

I like the plain Ikea Sniglar toddler bed that has a small bar but would prefer to avoid buying the frame and mattress twice when he moves up to single bed size.

Thanks!

I went straight to single bed and glad that I did for the same reasons as you. The toddler beds are small compared. Although I think you need to careful in case your little one will feel exposed and not secure as it may unsettle their sleep.

My little lady was falling out the cot. I took the side off as she was climbing out and though I might as well just go to single.

I got the frame off Gumtree! It was a Next one and I couldn't be happier with it! Like a 200 quid frame and got it for 50!

Our son still sleeps in his Sniglar bed, he's 8 but he's small, about the size of a 6yo. We did buy him a new mattress last year as the previous mattress had done three years, but I think he'll stay in this bed for another year or two.
