Has anyone else experienced this? We had a good routine with my DS. Down to a single 1-2hour day nap at 11/12 then would go down at 7pm after dinner, bath and story. Now he's just not tired at 7. He was still running around the house at 10pm yesterday! No signs of tiredness, then up at 7:30am like usual. Same pattern emerging tonight. He seemed all settled then just started chatting, laughing and running around. Confused

We've had a big day too today, been out at a farm, played in the soft play and sand pit for hours.

Is this a stage? Will he sleep again soon?!

Mine all dropped their naps at about that age. I found it a difficult stage as they were then exhausted late afternoon so it was a balancing act between early nights and no nap with grumpy toddlers or late nights and a nap. It was even more difficult when I had the school run to contend with but the stage does not last forever!

Down to 40 minute nap every few days Sad

Try to get the nap longer?

A lot of sleep books (I've read a few!) suggest at this age they get really wired at bedtime if they don't get enough day sleep.

I would try making the nap slightly later - 12/12.30, which might help him go through til 2 or 3.

Then a bedtime of 7/7.30.

Sounds counterintuitive I know but it's worth a try.

He's usually in full meltdown by 11. Blush but I can give it a try!
