So, when did your dcs go from two sleeps to one?

Dd is just over a year, and showing vague signs, I suspect. Can't remember when ds did this (but his sleep was so shit he ain't a good role model for anyone)
I would like the answer not for ages, please ...

Not for ages!
Both followed pretty much the same pattern from 3 months onwards (before it was a bit chaotic!):
up to 10-11 months 3 naps a day
up to 18-19 months 2 naps a day
From then on 1 nap a day...

bunnypeculiar · 01/04/2007 20:35

... is the right answer - have a shiny> although dd has been on 2 a day for ages, so suspect I have less sleep-prone kids than yours sound
Thanks!

On the other hand, dd2 gave up daytime napping altogether at 16 months, and ds will have quite a few days already when he only naps once a day - he's nine months.

Miaou · 01/04/2007 20:40

Well ds has just gone from two to one over the past two to three months (took him a while to do it consistently; for a while he was doing two sleeps one day and one sleep the next). He is 20 months old.

I can't remember how old the dd's were but I think it was similar.

My goodness - yours all seem very late! Dd went to 1 nap a day around Christmas, when she was just under 11 months! Now nearly 14 months and naps for around 1.5 hours in the afternoon, and sleeps 10 hours at night.

firststeps · 02/04/2007 12:35

Just really gone consistently to 1 sleep - 12ish - 2ish - he's 16 months

indignatio · 02/04/2007 12:37

12m - I remember it so well - I was gutted

Quootiepie · 02/04/2007 12:38

DS is dropping it some days, if his morning nap is later usually. He is 12 months. I'd say 1 in 5 days he has one nap.

Tatat · 02/04/2007 15:08

At nursery, DS has had only one nap a day since he was about 15m. I suspect this was just because that was what is convenient for them, which I wasn't happy about but that's another thread, as at home, he only stopped having two at 24m. And even now at 28m he sleeps only 1hr ish at nursery, but when he's at home he has mammouth bed sessions, sometimes 3hrs from 12 noon and still sleeps 12 hours at night. But he's always liked a snooze (thank goodness) so maybe that's just his thang.

Mum2FunkyDude · 02/04/2007 15:10

around 12 months, he is now 16 months and sleeps from 1-4 everyday...somedays 4:30. He then goes to bed at 8pm and wakes at 6:45am.

Mum2FunkyDude · 02/04/2007 15:13

Muat add he is very active and does not sit still and is into everything and talks alot and....keeps me busy all the time that he is awake.

Othersideofthechannel · 02/04/2007 18:47

Have to say I have always respected their naptimes as much as possible.
Had a couple of months when DD was napping 10 till 1 and DS was napping 2-4 and DD was napping again 4-5 so apart from meals they barely saw each other awake!

twoisenoughmum · 02/04/2007 19:09

My DS went from 1 nap to 2 naps at 12 months (sorry, not the answer you want to hear!) and dropped his afternoon nap altogether at 24 months. Was gutted. But he stayed cheerful all day and slept 11.5 hour at night, so couldn't complain really.
