So my dd has always been a rubbish sleeper. She goes down awake around 7pm and generally falls asleep by 7.30 after a few tears/resettling her.

She's started waking st 10pm crying, Iv tried leaving her but she just gets hysterical so Iv gone in and gave her her dummy.

Then she's awaking from 1am. Like now she's been awake since 1, she's been screaming, shouting me, kicking the wall. No sign of going to sleep at all! Iv enddd up giving her warm milk to calm her down 😭🙈

I don't know what to do 😭😭

Do you stay with her at bedtime and for night resettles? She may just be seeking reassurance that you are there.

Also the resettles, what do you do?

No I don't? Should I?

I just lie her back down and give her her dummy and teddy. But she gets back up as soon as I go to walk out.

She goes sleep fine in the day

You don't have to. But it might just be the simple reassurance of your presence that she needs.

Short term solution and not really fixing anything, but I would co-sleep for now. At least then you are getting enough sleep.

Not sure if I've misunderstood but if you don't stay with her and she was screaming from 1am-3.47, that is a long time to be left alone - I definitely think she needed you x

Sorry that reads so unhelpful. I'm just thinking you could have perhaps had some more rest if you'd settled a little earlier Smile
