Urgh, so tired!! 2.5 year old has decided to get up stupidly early today and I couldn't resettle her. It's going to be a long day!!

DD woke up from a nightmare at 2.30. She and DH are both back asleep but I just can't drop off again. I'm working all day today too, so that'll be a fun shift Confused

Baby bees, i hope so, but I find it very hard to nap during the day :-(

I'm happy to hear I'm not alone!

Can she have a warm milk & cuddle up in your bed for 5 hours

Growuphelen · 20/08/2017 05:10

I'm awake ! But not with a toddler. With an irritating, dry, constant cough that is driving me MAD. According to my fitbit I've had 3hrs12 mins sleep, 25 mins of which was restless. But I'd take a cough over a toddler. (I've had 5 of 'em so I'm not being unsympathetic) My two grandchildren are 16 mths and 19 mths old, I look after them on Mondays and Fridays and the first question I ask is what time were they up, because I know that very luckily they're both ready for a nap 3-4 hours later. So could you be back in bed for 8 and start the day after that ?

Growuphelen · 20/08/2017 05:13

Oh I see she's 2.5. Do you have a DP ? We used to tag team. When he wandered down stretching and yawning at 8 am I'd be back in bed by 8.10

Hunkle I was tempted to take her into my bed but we've got her into some bad habits which we're trying to break

Yes DH will have to take a turn later although he's been at a party all night so will be pretty useless

I'm 32 weeks pregnant so sleep is also rubbish (I guess this is preparing me to be up all night again soon 😂

Grown up sorry to hear you're ill! Sucks being up all night coughing!!

Yep... not with a toddler though, a 4.5 month old. Who is usually a good sleeper through the night, but has a cold so is a bit off it. I can hear DH snoring in bed from here and think it's pointless even attempting to go back to bed!
