So, by the wonder weeks app, my lb is halfway ish through his 5th leap (by far the worst so far)
Basically, during the day he's completely normal and fine but at night he awake every hour!!
I'm so tired.
He used to wake about twice a night for a feed but now it's numerous amount of times and will not re settle without the breast.
I've tried the pick up, put down method for a week and that hasn't helped one single bit, he just gets angrier and angrier..
He also won't take a dummy
Have I made a bad sleep association with my breast or will this just pass once he's over leap 5..
This is the most exhausted I've been since I've had him, I've constantly got a headache all day, I'm just hoping this is a phase..
Is there any advice or any other mummy's going through the same

My DS is also in the 5th leap (10 days to go apparently!) We too had a couple of weeks of waking every hour or more, so I feel your pain. The only way I could cope was to co-sleep (he often comes into our bed early morning anyway) but I understand this isn't for everyone.
Nighttime sleep has been getting better again over the last week. He woke twice for feeds last night. So hang on in there, I'm sure it will get better for you too.

I'm currently having problems with naps, which I hope could be leap related and will improve soon too!

It's horrible isn't it! :(
I'm not overly keen on fully co sleeping, if he wakes before 6 (4:30/5:00) I'll let him get into bed with me then.
My lb naps have been not as bad, it's only really effecting his night time sleep and being abit cranky here and there.
I have heard this is the hardest leap and I'm hoping it is haha! I thought leap 4 was abit bad lol

My daughter was exactly the same, it was as bad if not worse than the 4 month sleep regression. I ended up co sleeping with her attached to my boob most of the night, just so we could all get some sleep. That got us through it really. I'm now happy to say we're out the other side & she seems to be going back to waking up once or twice max without too much drama. Hang in there x

Oh god! I'm in leap four and am feeling very shattered. My LO is refusing to nap in the day. I might get 20minutes out of her if I go for a long walk with her in the sling. She's difficult to settle to sleep and wakes every hour.
God help us if leap 5 is worse!!!!

So it ends?! We are a few days into leap 5 and the little man who used to sleep 10-6.30 with maybe 1 brief wake up wakes every hour! Last night it was disturbing my husband so much I slept on the baby's room floor! I am broken!!

crazycatlady5 · 23/08/2017 10:49

Oh gosh that leap was horrendous. I can fully pledge that yes it definitely ends!!! Lasted maybe 4-5 days for me.

drinkyourmilk · 23/08/2017 20:41

Leap 5 is worse than 4? Shitting hell 4 almost killed me.

Celticlassie · 23/08/2017 22:32

I'm also living through leap 4 at the moment. It feels never ending and my LO wakes up needing fed every couple of hours, often screaming (having been a pretty good sleeper previously). It seems the gaps between the leaps are much shorter than the leaps themselves. Sad

I know this thread has been posted a while back, just wondering how long leap 5 lasted for all your lo's?
We are a week into leap 5 and my great sleeper has turned into a shouting monster at night 😴😴😴
