Stay awake to let baby sleep??

My little girl is 5 months old next week and is suffering with both reflux and teething. Due to this she wakes frequently throughout the night - sometimes screaming at the top of her lungs. She had paracetamol before bed (which usually calms her teething pain) but she had still been especially restless for the first few hours after bedtime. She's now sleeping more peacefully than I've seen her do in months - but only because she's rolled onto her side!
At this stage she is easily able to roll from her back onto her front but cannot roll back. I'm too paranoid that if i go to sleep she'll fall onto her front and not be able to roll back (SIDS paranoia)
The thing is, she has a photo shoot tomorrow for some prints for around the house. This has already been rescheduled after she screamed for the full hour at the last appointment due being hellishly overtired. I want her to get a decent rest so she won't be cranky for tomorrow (I think she'd really enjoy the shoot if she was in a good mood!) and I know she won't if move her onto her back.
Considering staying awake as long as she sleeps to let her get a decent sleep for the first time in months. Is this a rational idea or am I just too desperate to have my happy girl back??

Roll a towel and put it in front of her so she can't roll forwards if you are worried.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've put a towel in front of her so hopefully now I can get some sleep. Bit paranoid she might slide back and roll onto her front but that's just me being ridiculous!

Hope you both get a good night's rest Smile
