I have a formula fed 3 week old who has been sleeping 3-4hrs at a time overnight. He has now started staying awake after his feed for about 2hrs fussing and whinging non stop. I'm winding him well and giving infacol but he won't stop and it's driving me mad! Any tips or is it just a case of waiting for him to grow out of it??!!

Unfortunately I can't offer any words of advice or wisdom, as we're currently awake with the same issue. Following with interest - hoping others have advice!

I'd try a dummy. It may well be the natural desire to comfort suck.

It might also be worth trying swaddling with a cot sheet or giant muslin (don't swaddle with a blanket, baby will be too hot)

Following night and he's been crying and fussing for an hour so far....wondering whether he's sleeping too much in the day? He seems still too young to be waking up on demand though
