Will he ever stop rolling over at night?!

DS2 has reached an exciting milestone - he can now roll back to front. My first boy never did this, skipping straight to sitting up instead so this is all new to me. However, as good as this milestone is, it is causing problems at night. He rolls over on to his tummy then gets upset about it and cries until I roll him back. He can do front to back but he's not as confident with it and relies on me helping. Last night I was in EVERY HOUR and this is sadly becoming normal! It's been the same for about a week now and I'm driven insane by it. He didn't wake this much as a newborn!!! Will he eventually stop doing it? Or should I just leave him to self soothe? It seems unfair to do the latter if you ask me though. All advice and reassurance welcome!

I remember mine doing this. It was tiring but he learned how to roll back fairly quickly so I'd put up with it a bit longer.

Yeah, this is a really annoying stage. It will reduce once baby is competent at front to back and back to front rolling.

Mine were about 3-4 months doing this so I kept swaddle use going to reduce rolling at night. Once strong and competant rollers, I moved from swaddle to tightly tucked in sheet over a slerping bag at the 4-5 month stage (ish).
