10 month old only having one nap a day

My little girl who has just turned 10 months seems to have dropped her PM nap. For the past few weeks I have been putting her in her cot in the afternoon as normal and she is completely refusing to nap, for the morning nap she falls asleep very quickly. She wakes around 6.30am and has a nap from 10-12 ( won't sleep any earlier ) she then goes from 12pm - 6.30/7 untill bedtime awake ! Not grumpy and seems quite happy but she looks very tired. Won't sleep in afternoon if out in push chair either. Is this very early to only want one nap per day ?
Thank you Smile

Both of mine went to one nap by 10 months.

This is fairly normal for 10 months. Both mine did it. I just started pushing them to 11, then 12 for the start time so it became one long afternoon nap. I much prefer just one nap! My now 19 month old has been sleeping 12-2.30/3 since 11 months.

If she's very tired, put her to bed earlier at night?

Thanks , good know it's fairly normal . I do put her to bed earlier if she is very tired , but she then gets a spurt on again after dinner !

That's a long and late morning nap. It's not an ideal time to be conducive to two nap days.

If it was me i would make it a bit earlier and a lot shorter, rather than dropping it. I'd go for:

9.30 to 10.15am nap (woken up after 45m)
1-2pm nap (woken at 4pm if not already awake)
7-8pm bedtime

Thank you Fate, I will try those timings today and see what happens. I often thought about waking her earlier from her morning nap but didn't have the heart! Also was a bit worried she wouldn't make up for it in the afternoon . But will give it a go.
