Nursery dropoff clashing with nap time

11mo has just started nursery a couple of days a week. He's normally up between 6-7am, and back for a nap between 8-9am.
But...I need to drop him at nursery at 8am. He's so tired when I drop him off, but he won't sleep there as it's too new and exciting. (He's only napped about 40mins a day so far there).
Should I try and change his nap routine so he doesn't sleep after breakfast? Or just leave him be and it'll sort itself out in the end? Any other advice? Smile

I'd try to change his routine. That's a very early nap!

But either way I'm sure he'll find a new routine in nursery. Mine both napped better in nursery than at home - a few of them napped at the same time.

I think it's so early as he's only just sleeping through without a feed, so he isn't really finished sleeping when we get up for breakfast.
When at home he has about 40min after breakfast, then 2hrs ish after lunch. Goes to bed about 7pm and asleep by 8 generally. 1 or 2 fusses in the night, has a cuddle and back down to sleep.
I'm inclined just to see what happens, go with the flow seems to have served me well so far!

I'd ask nursery to try for a 9.30am nap
