Advises to stop using at 6 months
my DD is 5.5 months so almost there and seems to be fine in it - if anything its massive for her.

Is it a weight thing?
Has anyone used one for longer?

How accurate are these age limits is it just a guide?

Don't really want to get rid of it its been good so far and she seems to fit. She is just starting to roll to one side though so maybe that could be a worry.

As far as I know it's only based on weight and whether baby can sit themselves up or climb over the sides. I believe it's still perfectly safe when baby is rolling Smile

I would imagine it's based on average development milestones. Once baby can sit up, they could lean over the sides and fall out, that is the danger.

I should add, you can take one side off most standard cotbeds or cots, to made a full sized sidecar cot
