My 3 year old has never been a good sleeper but I feel like it is just getting worse and I am not sure how much more i can take.
He asked at 2am every night and generally doesn't go back to asleep until 430am.

Then he is awake at 6am for the day.

He is in bed by 7pm every night. He could be asleep by 715pm or it could be 8pm

He is still awake now screaming and I just want to get in my car and leave, never to come back

Op, I feel your pain. Dd was up around 12:30am and just didnt sleep until 4 and was up at 5 for the day.

How does he wake up in the night? Is he screaming / crying / chatting etc? Is it possible for you to ignore him?

Ignoring dd mostly works but dp doesn't ignore her, brings her into our bed and then convieniently sleeps in when I've had a toddler stuck to me all night and up at 5 am Angry

My children all became scared of the dark around aged 3. Quite unexpectedly, they'd slept in pitch black black-out rooms since birth.

I found that a night light didn't provide enough light to stop toddler feeling scared of the dark, and a lamp tends to cast long, low (scarey) shadows around the room. So the best solution we found was to swap light switches for dimmer switches. Then leave the over night light on all night, but dimmed down.
