Need advise please!

I got a new mattress today and it has that new mattress smell. My little girl and I co sleep she's 4 months old. Will it be safe for her to go on the mattress whilst it has this smell?
I like in a one bedroom flat so it's difficult for me to air out. I've had the windows open all day today but still smells :( not sure whether it's safe as not?

Assuming the mattress has all the UK kitemarks etc, will be safe.

As long as it's not memory foam it's fine

It's from silent night, it's not memory foam as such, well not that I know of? It has a "pillowtop" mattress on top x

Where did you buy it? I had to return one to 'bensons' as the smell was so bad weeks afterwards. It was almost a chemical smell. That was the first of me knowing new mattresses have a smell. I've bought another since and it didn't have any smell.
