4 month sleep regression tips

So last night we hit the dreaded 4 month sleep regression. DS2 has been comfortably managing 8pm-4.30am without a feed and then up again once before morning at 8am for the past couple of weeks. Last night it came as a shock for him to be up at 9pm, 1am, 4am, 6am and 7am Shock He is just approaching 16 weeks old so I'm assuming this is the start of his regression.
DS1 had this regression for 2 weeks so I'm thinking I may have a rough ride ahead, but this time with a two year old in tow and therefore no chance to catch up on sleep in the daytime. To make matters worse, DS2 has only ever done 40min daytime nap stretches so even if both boys were napping at the same time, it's not long enough for me to get some shut eye.
How long have people experience the 4 month regression for? Any tips or words of wisdom to get me through this?! I feel it is much harder with a toddler in the house!

1 night doesn't make for a developmental change. Occassional bad nights/days here and there will always happen and are of little significance.

Even a run of 3 or 4 bad nights might not mean anything developmental - baby might just be ill, in pain, too hot, or a million other possible causes.

As long as you are working towards sustainable sleep habits, just keep going it will be fine.

DS went through the regression and it lasted around 6 weeks! We kept the normal bed time routine and every time he woke in the night (every 20 mins at its worse) we just patted and hushed for a few minutes. I was beyond sleep deprived but we got there! Back to 1 wake up in the night and a 7am wake up not 5am!

I'm afraid if it is regression you just have to ride it out
