Co sleeping and back pain

Because I'm having to stay in awkward positions all night I'm waking with a really bad back. In fact it's agony and I don't feel refreshed in the morning. DD is only 5mo and she can have me perched on the edge of the bed all night!

I'm going to try her in her next to me Chico cot tonight and hope that it works.

Anyone got any advice on actually getting sleep when baby isn't feeding in your bed?

DD sleep from 7-11:30 then wakes at 3, 5, 6 for feeds.

TIA

If you have a cosleeper crib/cot, I can't understand why you are perched on the edge of the bed?

I had a cosleeper full sized cot (1 side removed off a standard cotbed). Therefore baby slept between me and the cot. Sometimes in the bed, but by 5m mostly in the cot.

What specifically is making you stay in uncomfortable positions? Is baby wanting a nipple in the mouth much of the night? It might be worth establishing a dummy instead.
