Cuddles and co sleep through sleep regression?

Am I doing the wrong thing? DS seems to have hit a sleep regression - he will settle back to sleep with a cuddle but won't sleep for more than an hour unless I bring him to bed with me (usually in a sleepyhead)

Am I creating bad habits - do babies just grow out of the sleep regression or do I need to be teaching him to sleep somehow?

tea does she sleep in the sling at all? I know that's trotted out as a solution regularly so you've probably tried it already! Well dd has been awake since 6 (though she started babbling happily at 5!!), I've got her down for a 10min nap, 20m and 30min nap and she's just sleep again, hopefully for longer this time! I'm trying to get her to nap sooner after these crap naps but she's really fighting it today despite clearly being tired (why don't they just sleep when tired??).
winky I've been worried about making bad sleep associations too so currently trying to get her used to going to sleep in the cot with a dummy, it's hard though! Maybe she sleeps well in your bed because she can smell you on the sheets??

ducks sometimes, she used to love the sling but fights it now but will sometimes sleep if I persevere. Problem is, i have pelvic pain that gets worse if I have her in it for too long....I tend to save it for naps when we're out...
