As most people now don't let their child sleep with a blanket for safety reasons when they are young a lot of people use the baby sleeper bags, I will be using this. My question is can or do these be used from a baby is a newborn?

Yes they can - it's done by weight. My 3 have all used them from newborn because they were big enough. If you look on the label it will tell you.

Mine was too small for normal baby sleeping bags but was fine in a grosnug which can be used from 5lb I think.

My son hated them. Not all babies like them!
