Bed guards for double ottoman bed?

I am considering putting my LO in a double bed but the bed guards only seem to be suitable for single beds.

I wanted a bed guard for both sides because there is a gap in between the bed and walk because of the radiator.

Has anybody fixed a bed guard to a double ottoman bed? Are the inserted under the mattress?

We use foam wedge ones that go under the sheet. Fit any bed and easy to transport.

Ours is a king size ottoman. It goes under the mattress and straps across though the weight of the mattress means you don't need to strap it. Works fine. I got the extra tall guard but they do a regular height one as well. It's really long as well.
