Sorry. This might be totally the wrong place to put this!
Can anyone tell me if this is suitable for a baby to use for first few weeks of sleeping in my room before going into his own cot?

I would say not.

SIDS recommendations say baby should sleep on a firm, flat mattress seperate to yours.

Rocker is fine for supervised sleep though, when you are not asleep. So great for downstairs naps.

It's only for naps really, when you're nearby and awake.
