No nap, what to do about bedtime?

Gah. Ds has refused to nap today and I've just given up. He goes to bed well regardless of how late his nap is. Bedtime is 7.30 - 8.. However, with no nap at all I assume he will be ready before then. Try and stretch it out or let him go earlier?

He was up at 6.15.

False alarm, he's asleep. But for future reference, does bedtime get earlier with no nap?

I tend to keep it fluid. We watch cbeebies bedtime story then bath then bed. If Dd was up early and seems grumpy after an active day then i play a prerecorded tom hardy bedtime story earlier, usually 6.30 so she is in bed a bit earlier.

She rarely naps though and hasnt done since 15 months. Maybe once a month if we are lucky Hmm

We keep baby/toddler bedtime 'routined, but flexible'.

All being well, bedtime is 7.30-8pm.

My preference of a nap were to be refused would be a later naptime and later bedtime. But if I couldn't even get a nap later, bedtime would just have to move loads earlier. The downside to this is the knock-on effect it has the following morning.

He eventually slept for 35 minutes, grumpy onwaking (unlike him) but fine after that and was OK for his usual bedtime. Which I'm pleased about as just git bedtime and wake up moved later.

DD2 (20 months) refused to nap today. She was up at 7 and usually goes to bed at 7. I stuck to our normal routine.
