Hi, I have a DS1 who has never slept well, but when we started trying for no 3 we decided this is it we have to try again to get him to sleep in his bed all night without getting up and ending up in bed with us. We have given up in the past.

We did the gradual withdrawal as CC gets him hysterical. I got to sitting in the doorway of the bedroom with the door between me and him and after checking I was there a couple of times he would go to sleep in about 10 minutes. He would wake once but as soon as we went to him he would get back in bed, with/without a drink and go straight back to sleep. (He has a gate on the bedroom door). Fantastic, we thought this lasted 3 nights, 2 nights he woke more but still settled, then once again for a few nights, then every hour for 4 nights without settling!!!! I am 2 months pregnant and absolutely knackered and can't cope with the lack of sleep esp as DS2 who was sleeping and waking once for a bottle is now teething an waking 3/4 times a night as well.

HELP PLEASE! I need suggestions as to why this is happening, and why it can now take up to 2 hours to get him to sleep as well. We haven't changed what we are doing, what is going wrong???????

I know its going backwards but due to exhaustion he has ended up back in our bed the last couple of nights which has to stop again. He also wakes at 5:30 ish as that used to be our get up for work time, and still is DH's.

Bumping this for you - I don't have any advice (only have 1 poorly sleeping 5 month old and no solutions yet!). You must be exhausted, so I hope things improve soon .
