We used the cc method with ds about 6wks ago (he is almost 7 mths), and i was astonished at how well it worked. He went from waking to bf every 2 hrs, to settling himself and sleeping through for 9 hrs. We are starting from scratch now though because we have let him develop bad habits again due to other things going on. Need some advice; After settling himself within 20 mins this eve, when he wakes during the night should i check him straight away then start counting? Also am i supposed to start where i left off at bedtime timewise? or just work my way up to 20 mins again? Hope this isn't too confusing.

In general, I'd say do you what you did before. It worked then, should work now.
Whether you check straight away depends on the cries but in your situation I would wait a couple of minutes.
Hope this helps!

I would just do what you did before if it worked for you and you were happy doing it. We did it with dd - I left her for a minute or so to see if she'd settle herself, and then begin going into her after 2,5,8 minutes etc. Good luck.

Hi, we had a great night! He slept till 5.30, then i fed him and let him have a snooze in our bed. He's currently crying right now though. Starting at 10 min checking for this morning's nap.
