Anyone had any success with using pick up/ put down to get LO to sleep from awake in cot?
Have been trying it a bit half heartedly and decided to get serious with it at 3.30 last night as am getting fed up of two hourly wakings by my DD (3.5 mths), who is getting worse rather than better. She cried/grumbled while I did this for about half an hour (having already fed her) but then started to scream hysterically even when I was holding her. I caved in after 10 mins of this and fed her again. Then pu/pd again but she fell asleep on my shoulder and I put her down.
Has anyone had this escalation to hysteria with pu/pd and come through the other side? It didn't seem much better than cc last night and I don't think I can hack that but need to take some action. Sorry about the long saga but tips/ stories much appreciated.
