What to do if B&B don't have anywhere for babies/children to sleep, But welcomes them to stay?

Ok, I would like to start off by saying, Yes, I know, Finding another place to stay is an option, but I'm wondering if there is anything we can do about getting or providing somewhere for out baby to sleep at our current chosen hotel/B&B. Thanks :D

So, This summer, I'm planning a holiday for me and my partner, By that time, We will have a newborn. I was thinking of taking them both to Blackpool and both me and my partner love it there, and I was planning on staying at a lovely B&B that I always do. Their website states that Babies and Children are welcome to stay, and on my last visit, I even noticed they have baby-high-chairs in the dining room that you can request if needed, However, There is nothing on their website about if they have any sleeping-cots or something we can rent or use in the room for the baby to sleep.

I have emailed the B&B but haven't had a reply. Its a shame because this place is basically.... Perfect! It's only a five-minute walk from the train station and you can see the beach/Promenade from the front door! Its location is perfect, The price is perfect, The owners are lovely and the food is amazing!

When I've looked this up, A lot of people have suggested to just take your own travel cot or Moses basket, Which, We will be traveling over 2/3 hours on the train to get there, So that's definitely not ideal, Other's suggest letting your baby sleep in the pram which we will have a travel system but that doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable.

Does anyone have any ideas/advice on what we can do? Thanks :D

P.S. When I say people have suggested, I mean I've read their suggestions to other people, On other websites. This is my first time asking this myself.

As they haven't got back to you yet you are jumping the gun hugely. Wait for their reply, they may well have a cot.

What pram do you have? Some can be used overnight (uppababy vista and iCandy). Your best bet is to take something with you, if you really like this place. You can buy Moses baskets quite cheaply, how about ordering something like this to be delivered there and leaving it behind? Actually, I've waited to hear back for quite awhile as i've been planning this for afew weeks now. So I wouldn't say I'm jumping the gun at all, But thank you for the reply.

On topic. If the pram reclines fully then I would think it's perfectly safe to use.

You can get pop up cots that are very light and usually have a travel bag. But I'd imagine if you have a decent carry cot on your pram that would be fine I'd imagine.

An alternative could be the Koo-di pop up bassinet which folds down to a bag. Probably little use after newborn stage though.

Just phone! A lot of these places are not great on The Net. But know well how to answer a phone. It would have been quicker than posting on mumsnet.

Why wouldn't you just call them? Do they not have a phone as well as a cot? I am confused.

For a baby just take your Moses basket. Surely it would be a SIDS Risk to put them on a used mattress.

Phone them - they will probably have or borrow a travel cot.
We went to lots of places with two babies/toddlers and everywhere with a couple weeks' notice had a cot and managed to track down another from a friend or someone.

I've used a koodi pop up cot for holidays, used it since DS was 4 months old and still use it now at 2yrs mostly for containment purposes

Yes, the mattress is thin but not bad for a few days or whatever. You can buy an inflatable mattress for it. (I didn't. Because I forgot and then never bothered.)

Some carry cot mattresses are not approved for night sleeping so check that as you may need to buy a mattress for it

Buy a lightweight pop-up cot.
Put the baby to sleep in the bed and co-sleep.
Use the pram lie-flat option (depends on age of baby & how long you're staying.)

It's vastly more likely the B&B will have access to a travel cot or something, so just ring & ask.

Our DS spent his first holiday sleeping in his pram, which we would have taken anyway. Uppababy Cruz, the bassinet is safe for overnight sleeping. That's one of the reasons we chose that one.
