Sorry, I'm on about our dd's wind again! Our dd has two large formula feeds in the evening, one at her bedtime, after which we try to put her down, and another around midnight. The practise nurse at the surgery suggested that this probably isn't helping her wind and said that we should keep her upright for an hour after her feed. This means that :a) she now refuses to sleep after her bedtime feed; b) I now end up with a sleeping baby in my arms after her late feed when I'm trying to get her used to her cot; and c)I end up going to bed at 1.30 (and then dd is usually awake again by 3)! So much for getting into a routine! (The nurse also said that we should put baby rice into her last but one feed but I'm ignoring that bit!) Is there any way that we can make this work into dd's routine of bath/feed/bed/sleep/feed/sleep? In desperation we now have dd downstairs with us during the evenings, and her nocturnal bodyclock is showing no sign of changing.
