4month old baby don't sleep at night

My daughter sleeps all day and wakes up for Feds she goes sleep 9/10am till 8/9pm and is awake all night with naps how do I break her out.

I've tried keeping her up all day but then she sleeps all night and day to make up for the night she didn't sleep and the day I kept her awake. Z😭😭

She just woke up 😩 Someone please help

Wake her for a feed, nappy change and play after 2 hours sleep

Don't try to keep her up all day, but aim for 1-2 hours awake between "naps".

And she will be able to sleep all night? X

I snuggled her all night n she slept but she is really grizzly and moaning 😩 And she is in the 4months sleep regression is over dramatic

Baby's at this age need regular sleeps over 24 hours.

Children need daytime sleep until 3 or 4 years old, including all the children sleeping all night. They still need daytime naps.

She will probably need 3-5 naps per day.

What's her sleeping space like at night? Is there a distinction between daytime and night time? Different room, no lights, nice and quiet away from hustle and bustle of the family, no tv or phones or laptops on.

I would not be expecting a 4 month old to sleep all night.

Well she watches tv n listening to music at night with the lights on with me and her dad playing with her cause that's that the only time we can play with her

Neither of mine slept all night til they were 18 months. It's normal for four month old babies to be up a lot of the night.
But it does sound like your baby needs a bit more daytime sleep

This is what happens she goes sleep at 9/10am wakes up 2times for a feed and wakes up 8/9 pm she is still sleeping right now today she went bed at 4pm which is allot better than usual 😌

And when she's up at night she has a nap and she's up awake again she does that like 4times

It's daytime it's her nighttime and night is her day 😞

I agree with other posters. Wake her up if necessary and do the awake/asleep thing during the day. She'll be sorted in no time.

What are you doing in the day while she sleeps all the time? It must mean you're stuck at home all day?

Is your HV any good?

It'll be hard for a few days (hopefully just a few days!) but you really do need to crack this unless you want to be a nocturnal family? At night time it her to bed in her cot, lights off, no noise or laptops, TVs etc. You get into bed too. If she wakes feed her, change her and back down in cot. Don't turn lights on!! If possible have her feed made up (do you BF or FF?) if FF do you have a perfect prep? She will cry and want to play but resist! You really need to resist so she learns that dark time is for sleeping. In the day try and get out of the house and be active so she is getting lots of daylight, fresh air, noise and activity so she can tell the difference.

Some children take years to sleep through the night. Most 4 month olds will night wake every few hours for feeds.
It does sound like you have a problem with day /night swapped over though.
Make night times calm and quiet. Dim lights, just feed and cuddle but don't play with the baby or put the TV on. Make day times light and busy. Take the baby out into the daylight.
It's tough but you can do it!

Then you both need to significantly change your sleep patterns.

If she goes to sleep at 9am, set an alarm for 11am and both of you get up. Feed and have a play, maybe go outside somewhere.

Both go back to sleep at, say, 1pm and then set an alarm for 3pm - both get up. Feed, perhaps go out somewhere again, maybe do some shopping or see if you can find a playgroup.

Both back to sleep by, say, 5pm and alarm on for 6pm. Just an hour nap this time, to be ready for bedtime. Feed baby and you eat dinner. Have a big play, maybe bath time. Both to bed for the night at 7-8pm.

That sounds like a good idea the alarm I will do that thankyou very much I was afraid i would go crazy 😩😌

My boyfriend spoils her "just leave her" his favourite line and it's gets on nerves!!!

He looks after her at night too but ends up leaving me with her because he works so he goes sleep and leaves us ... we live in a studio flat so everything is all together
