My 3 month old seems to have to have me nurse her to sleep but I'd like her to be able to go to sleep when being put down on her own have any ideas on how to get her to go to sleep without being nursed?

She's 12 weeks old. I'd just feed her to sleep. She won't do it forever!

yep just feed her to sleep. it's the way 12 week babies are designed

You could try a dummy.

I've never managed the 'sleepy but awake' with either of mine. I still feed DS2 to sleep and he's 17 months. Did the same with DS1,13 and he's always slept just fine.

My little one is almost 3 and not putting himself to sleep alone in the evening. He did for naps though, from 2 onwards (doesn't nap anymore). It varies a lot child to child, but feeding to sleep is fine. Baby won't do that forever, so just take it one day at a time.
