My ds is 4months old. he has recently gone into his own room and is sleeping in a cot bed (which he looks lost in, bless him!). I camp on ther floor next to him on a matress as he still wakes every few hours and it makes it easier for me.

This last week he keeps waking in the night then rolling onto his tummy and is wide awake - 'practising' his attempts at crawling. We keep turning him over but he quickly flips himself back over. This is repeated time and time again each night until he tires and gives up. We have tried leaving him on his tummy to see if he will eventuallly go to sleep, but after about 10mins he starts crying and we have to pick him up/turn him back over.

Is there anything we can do to pevent him rolling over during the night?

Many thanks!

You can buy airflow roll thingys which stop them rolling over but to be honest we just folded two large bath towels lengthways in half then rolled them up. wedge the edges down the cotside either side of the little one and bobs your uncle

Would one of these be any good?

ooooooo that's a good idea!

the towel idea is clever!

does this sort of thing works? does it not frustrate the baby?
