How to get my 18 month old back to sleep!

I am sat here in bed with the iPad while my 18 month old watches in the. In the night garden on repeat! Bad mother alert :-(

If I turn it off all hell breaks loose.

No idea what I should be doing for the best. He does have a cold which is why I think he has woken up but I'm at a loss as to how to encourage him to go back to sleep!

He screams the place down when I put him into his room.

I needed to share... Confused

Could you try bringing him into your bed, while he's poorly?

Calpol for the cold. Might be worth introducing a pillow into his cot (you can from 12m) to raise his head slightly. Similarly, you could put books under the head-end of his cot legs to raise one end.

Lots of fluids. Lots of rest and chilling out. Lots of sleep in the daytime.

Great thank you.

My other half was away last night so he slept with me eventually but that isn't an every night solution.

I will give him calpol before bed tonight too.

We have a pillow but it is quite flat, I have another being delivered today so hopefully that will help - complete coincidence so worth a shot!
